Project Meeting Demo case 4

On April 23, representatives of C2CA, Technical University Delft and the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden Rossendorf met in Delft. Demo case 4 considers the process of concrete recycling which includes a process step of thermal cracking where the concrete waste is separated in cement-rich powder and sand. In its current state, this process step is powered by natural gas. The partners discussed promising ways and technologies to substitute the gas burner with efficient electrical heating technologies. The partners visited the demonstration plant at TU Delft’s technical center and discussed promising ways to integrate electric heating components into the plant design.
